Ron Hextall Career Highlights Music Video
This video was never part of the show, but here at Generation X Live! we love hockey and the violence that comes with it. Nobody did them both better than Ron Hextall. He was probably the most complete goaltender ever to play. From stopping the puck, to his handling of it, so scoring to intimidating the opposing players, and probably being the first goalie to cause teams to change their game plans to keep the puck away from him. To this day we miss his presence in the crease and the music he made on the pipes. This is my little tribute to him. Thanks for the memories Ron!

LOL. “One of the top 5 best Flyers goalies”? I would love to see your list. The only other goalie one could even begin to argue was better was Bernie. Even there, Hextall did not play behind the same caliber of team that Bernie did and Hextall SILL accumulated more wins in less games than Bernie. I certainly am not bashing Bernie but Hextall did more with less in front if him in a time when the league was much more offensive minded. Who in Flyers history would you say is better?

I could be wrong. But I remember that game like it was last night. Hextall let 2 goals in the net within 2 minutes of each other. That was why he was whacking the net, and broke his stick. The Flyers at that time were playing real flat, and like Hextall, he was trying to fire up the team. Yes, they did come back and win.
